I'd say if he has another year like 2009 with no wins and misses the chase again in 2010 Rick Hendrick will have no choice but to let him go. Selling a ton of t-shirts and caps is great but keeping thoroughbreds in his stable is top priority at HMI. So far in two years, one win and one last place chase effort along with this years even worse showing, that won't keep you in top of the line equipment.

However, who would have predicted the success Kyle Busch found beginning in 2008? So anything is possible.

No he won't. There are just too many teams better then the 88 right now. That will still be a rebuilding team for next year.

The last two or three years is just proving what I have always felt about Jr. He doesn't have half the raw talent behind the wheel that his father had. Not many people do, but it proves that you can get a Grade A ride if you have the right name. I believe Mr. Hendrick is looking at the decision to hire Jr. and asking himself, "Why did I do that?"
