Windows Vista/NR2k3

My laptop has Windows Vista on it, and I recently found my NR2k3 disc, I installed it on my computer, the install went ok and I clicked on the shortcut to open the game and nothing happened. So I took the disc out and put it back in and I got that little menu with the Play, Uninstall and Cancel, so I click play and again nothing happens.

Ive tried un-installing it and re-installing it twice and still the same thing happens, any ideas on a fix?

1. Click Start
2. Click All Programs
3. Click Accessories
4. Right Click on Command Prompt
5. Left click on Run as Administrator
6. Click the Allow button if it asks you for permission
7. Type or copy and paste this into the command prompt window:

bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff

8. Hit enter and you should see the confirmation: Operation Completed Successfully
9. Reboot and DEP should be off.

I dont have the No CD patch btw....do I need that for it to work?

You could try it if you want but first make sure that the UAC is off too it will make things a lot easier beyond just the game. BTW I had no problems getting nr2k3 to work on Vista. Obviously being the admin account helps.
