IIRC when you open your nr2003 flat (bmp) in winmip then change the "File" setting to "mip" and then change the "Type" setting from default 10 to "6" your car's paint scheme will be uncompressed in the game. And likewise if you leave it at 10 then it will be compressed in the game. And I think the slide bar is just to tell the game's memory which cars should have priority access to the memory? The default setting is 8 I think, so I just make my cars have 10, so maybe they will have some priority. LOL.
