You know, when I win a race online (rarely), its a big accomplishment. Of course it depends on how hard the competition was. But when I win a long hard race, its a big deal to me. I feel like I accomplished something big. I almost want to put it on my resume. But I don't. Because most people won't understand. But I think winning a long league race against people who are really good and having to stay perfect lap after lap and not make a mistake is not that much different than winning a real Nascar race.
The same skills are used. And I say SCREW what that iracing article says

I understand most people aren't as good as they think they are in their heads. For those that would make a good driver, it IS money and circumstances holding them back. And there may be many who very well could be a good racing driver but are a little too scared of crashing and burning at 200+mph. And I wouldn't blame them.
So what I'm saying here is maybe the guys you're racing against online
aren't racing online because they are not good enough for real racing
but because they just never got into a real car for various reasons.
It doesn't matter how good you are online. Nobody is gonna be watching and offer you a real ride.
So I got off topic almost and this is kind of 2 posts in 1. But when I win a race online, it is a big deal for me. It isnt like winning any other game online like stick and ball games. Because I can watch real racing then go race in simulation form and IF I should win, I feel like I just won a real race. And thats an accomplishment SIMILAR to winning a real race.
