Woman watched Nascar with dead man for over a year

Trying to figure out what Nascar has to do with this story. Was the corpse only dead when Nascar was on? Was it not a corpse for the other 160 some odd hours of each week?

That said, I had no idea Norman Bates' mother was a Nascar fan. Kinda fitting, actually.

Chase kept Zigler's body around for more than NASCAR races, however. She's admitted to cashing his social security checks, saying "I'm probably going to prison." She's currently being investigated.

"I didn't want to be alone. He was the only guy who was ever nice to me."

Guessing they were NASCAR watching buddies and after he died they were check collecting buddies.
