I really value your feedback. A while ago my Danica 2008 design was saved by y'all's advice. Though I've come to understand I'm never going to be a truly "quality" painter, I still like to get it on with paint ideas. So here is the "GoMommy.com" work in progress. Base layers from MasGrafx. Template MRioux. Everything else pretty much mine. Even at 2048 my renders look like 512. What am I missing here? What exactly IS a "HI-REZ" image?
Anyway, looking forward to feedback!

Render it in 3d studio max. Then it will look killer. That's a great looking car for sure. Also, you should call it Stop Mommy. Or, Please Don't Uncle. Or I don't like our priest. You get the picture...

Yeah, like Hoosier said...render in max. That you posted looks like a in-game screenshot.

As for the paint job, I'm not a fan of the wheels being two colors. Also, leave the wing black except for the endplates. Lastly, I think the checkered flag design makes the car look too cluttered or busy. IMO it's a very fine line to walk when painting a car with lots of stripes and graphics on the base. You have to have it just right and it's a hard thing to make it look good and not "busy" plus make the sponsor stand out. My rule is the sponsor logo needs to be the thing to stand out and catch the eye first, not the base scheme. The base is there to support the sponsor logo and complete the look without overwhelming. That's why IMO simple bases make the best looking cars. To each his ow really but that's just my input.

If you still want that checkered flag on there I would make it tone it down by making it more transparent so it's very subtle.

Keep it up though. Don't give up on being a great painter yet. It takes lots of practice and trying many things.

Working on changes based on what you all shared with me. First thing I did was get rid of the "chrome" overlay. I thought the checkerd flag worked well since the "Go Daddy" car is green, black and orange, but, yeah, it does make the overall paint look too busy. TY all for your input. I plan to race this puppy at WSRL this season, and it has to look GOOD!

I always test drive my paints to see what they look like, and overall it looked good on the track. The pics were from Tunlanta. Got lazy, and heck, they looked pretty good for first pics.:unsure:

Might change to "Yo Mommy" or "Yo Mama". hee hee.
