I felt it would be nice to have a thread to share online racing stories...I'll start...

I was in a league race last season at New Hampshire and I was unstoppable. Short run, long run -for didn't matter. 2/3 of the way through I had to pee, and bad. Caution came out so I quite literally made a pit stop...and came back on track a lap down. I fought my way back onto the lead lap and had I had even one more turn I would have won that race. It was epic.

iRacing, driving legends cars at south Boston in 1 lap i dodged 3 cars flipping and then on the next lap a lap car hit the wall coming out of turn 2 and i hit him and flew over the pitwall and landed on my roof!

Hyper, were you on my account? I did the same thing, only bouncing off some poor racer in the pits, landing on my wheels and driving away. It was worth the nosedive in SR for the reactions, the 'wtf??' to the 'Dude, AWESOME' and the 'F YOU FOR KILLING MY RACE'

i was in my 3rd ever online race years ago for cyber thunder and we raced at savanna speedway, i was new to everything, the people, the game, the online racing, so the whole race i was mid pack to the rear, me and this one racer were both on our 3rd race and the whole time we were battling, well some late cautions happened, and finnally we had a green white checker style restart, on the first lap of racing i passed alot of cars (newer tires) and on the last lap i was in 4th place, coming out of the last turn 3rd got into 2nd spinning both of them, the guy behind me (5th) got into me, wrecking both of us and the rest of the field came and hit us 4, i ended up getting hit into 3rd place across the finish line, and me and 3 cars flipped over the pitwall, one landed on the pit wall, the wreck was massive. the leader was the only car not damaged, best race ive ever had lol

When I won my first iRacing official event back in May. Also last night, I went an entire rookie legends race without having an incident.

this race last year in the hcr gns series race, i was in the #18 i had pole and lead almost every lap upto the point of this video, the whole race i had been haveing an epic battle with my team mate tj bartel #11, this video is the last few laps when the fight was at its greatest.

I was racing at DaytonaBR there was only 4 of us. (small league). ANYWAY (lol) On lap 11 I spun my drafting partner and fell off the pace. Running on the low lane didn't really help since the racing line is HIGHLY visible on the top. About maybe 5 to go I started to ride the top lane to try and catch up I'd say about 3 to go I was right back up there with Luke and Will. Something happened to Will and he fell off the pace only by about a couple car lengths so that left Luke and me to battle it out for the win. Last lap followed him on the high lane and got a big enough run to pull down in 3 we got side by side in 4 and we bumped and rub comming to the flag and beat him by a small margin. Kyle Young and I had an epic battle at Long Beach in the OWR07 mod at OSW. I got the pole and led some laps until he got by and we were within 3 tenths every lap. Here's the video.

I was running at openspeedway in a daytona race, I have never had much success at online races but i have always been decent at daytona. on the first lap i was running in the top ten when i got sent through the grass, i barely managed to keep my car from spinning and when i merged back on the track, i was hopelessly behind, that same lap going into turn 3, the 1st place driver, wrecked the whole field, (excluding me and him) by blocking in the turn. I avoided the wreck and was left on the track, with the leader. The admin must have taken a break because at openspeedway servers, at least the ones i run on, blocking is a not allowed untill the last lap.
I caught up to the leader on a pit stop and passed him, the next lap he cought me and the race was on. Everyone who was out was chatting up a storm telling me to wreck him.
I got up to his left rear and turned right, at the same time he turned left and sent me sliding through the grass, back up onto the track, and into the catch fence. I was really upset because that was my best shot at winning, and even though i wrecked, i still would have gotten my first online win due to everybody being out or in violation of openspeedway rules.

I have a couple of good ones. First was in a little Nascar Heat league I ran. We were racing at Richmond in season 1 and my teammate and I were going back and forth for the lead the entire last half of the race. We came up on a lap car, a guy who was notorious for throwing blocks. Well sure enough as we charged at him side by side he drives down and both of us go through the front stretch grass. We never lifted and never got sideways. Just barrelled straight through that tiny infield and kept on going. I ended up getting my first online win a few laps later. The second one was a couple of weeks ago on Open Speedway. I was running surprisingly well at Daytona (my Open Speedway luck isn't that great). After pit stops I was fifth and pushing the fourth place car. Coming through turn 4 with three to go I see smoke and the three lead cars going through the grass. Coming out of two the guy I was pushing left a hole open on the bottom so I took it and never gave the spot back. Led to my one and only OS win so far.

The people in my league really like screwing around during practice. There have been many a fun moment causing millions of dollars of damage in these practice sessions

Mine would have to be at the now defunct Old School Racing League. We were running the SNSC 70's mod and the track was Richmond Raceway the old version. The race itself was great as I started in the 7th or 8th position and thought I actually had a decent shot of winning. If anyone here has raced the track you know it is alot like Martinsville is today however the inside of the turns is completely fenced in by guard rails. So if someone was on your outside you literally had nowhere to go but to hold your line. As the race progressed I stayed around the 3rd to 5th place position even through several yellow flags.

Towards the end of the race with about 6 laps to go I stayed out while 90% of the field went in for tires and fuel. I knew I was in trouble but Iwas commited to holding the bottom lane and exiting low to keep the position. Once the green flag flew I was doing more mirror driving than anything else trying to keep the field behind me. Two laps later the flag flew again but luckily it didn't end the race. We went green with one lap to go and I knew if I didn't exit Turn One low enough the guy in second was going to get it. Well, guess what happened, he got me coming out of Turn One and I could have been a azz and try to hold him or bump him in Turn Three but I didn't I knew better than try to wreck for the win so I let it go. I didn't even care I lost the race like that I had a ton of fun. That race will be in my mind as a true defining moment in my online sim career.
