Your opinon on johnson and junior

So lets set the scene in the preseason to 2008 amongst all the news the big worries for the season was with rick hendrick having jeff, jimmie, and dale in his stable was there a race that they wouldnt win??

well now almost three years since the announcement itself you can still hear the words earnhardt,johnson and win in the same story but now you hear

win will dale win

and win will jimmie stop winning???

i thought id branch out and see what everyone thought of this topic

-Johnson: 2010 was the season were everyone feared the 48 would go for a 5th cup title and althought they could still do it i belive the put on pressure of teams like the 11 the 1 and the 29 stepping up and giving him a run along with the 2 has shown the vunerability of that team to which at one point and even now there isnt a downside to. but hopefully for people with the same mind as me... the jimmie johnson show will come to an end


-junior: i think that he let the media and the spotlight of the attention really get to him not to say that he is a meida fanatic but that the bad press about him not dominating like we all though i belive has really sunken in under his skin and i belive if espn took the camera off of him for a few weeks the 88 would be right back to the front

My opinion on Johnson: He's good.

My opinion on Junior: He's not near as good as Johnson.

Bold: The #1 of McMurray is not giving Jimmie a run for his money...he's out of the chase, he either wins, or finishes second or 25th. Also, you've forgotten about the rest of RCR, Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, and several others.

Italic: Earnhardt has recieved the most media attention at least since 2001...and the vast majority of his wins have come between then and now. Also, he's 14th in points, and still in chase contention...he was in the Chase earlier in the season.

My Opinion for Johnson: Everybody starts hating him because he starts to dominate, and for some reason in this sport if a person dominates, then they are automatically labeled the most hated driver in NASCAR. That makes absolutely no sense to me.

Dale Junior: He is a very good driver but he has just had the worst of luck since around 2006 or 2007. If he could have better luck (and a better crew cheif IMO), then he would be a front runner. I mean think of all the times he was taken out of contention and it wasn't at all his fault (like last weekend).

Johnson - I honestly think he will win the 5th Championship this year..... As much as I don't want this to happen.... The chase is their specialty and they are going to be tough to beat.

Junior - I think he needs a crew cheif that will yell at him..... instead of constantly having elementary arguments. I think he needs Tony Sr to fix him up. I don't know whats going on in his head every weekend.... but I think the fans expectations are never going to be fullfilled by Dale Jr.... We all know he's a good driver if you have watched the sport the last 10 years.... But I think we will never see Dale Jr put a Championship season together again.

Junior: He's getting better, but the dude still needs fixing, and the solution is simple. Tony Eury Sr. Did anyone notice that once pops stepped away from the team and Eury Jr stepped in he hasn't been the same. He pushed around Eury Jr, it's obvious he can't stand Lance McGrew. Get pops out of the Nationwide series and get him back to telling june bug how it's gonna be not vice versa.

I never understood the reasoning behind the dismissal of Pops when it happened so many years ago, It's just like the situation that's occuring with Matt Kenseth now. Why in the heck would you take such a successful combo and squash it? I thought the point of racing was winning both races and championship. Not one single crew cheif that either of them has had since their respective switches has matched nor topped the success of the prior cheif. Both are sitting in prime spots to regain those cheifs from where they are now. Jack Roush really has never made any sense to me but the smartest thing he can do is pair Matt and Robbie back up and Junior and Hendrick need to come to an agreement that the Cheif that knows him best is right under their noses in Pops.

As for Gordon, I'm finding myself pulling for him more and more and I use to out right hate the guy but dang man anyone really other than Jimmy Johnson, Kyle Busch, or Carl Edwards. I respect Jimmy's talent but the other two regardless of talent I have no respect for due to their crap attitudes.

Tottally fogot about this thread sorry . but i think like everyone says it take two parts of the human aspect to win loko at knaus and johnson if knaus left i think he wouldnt win as much because they understand each other and knaus has the attitude as to " Im listening to your complaints and im going to make you as comfortable as i can and keep up fast which may not make you as comfortable as you want to be." which is the opposite of lance he ccowers i think under dale's attitude
